On January 6, her and her husband, DNG, welcomed their son into the world. In the photo, Bailey’s hand is cradled by Halo’s soft fingers, which are encased in a gold bracelet with his name on it.
In the caption, she wrote, “Even though it’s only days into the New Year, the best thing 2023 has ever done for me is bring my son into this world. Welcome, my Halo.”
DDG said that Halo is his “biggest blessing.”
The Journey to Motherhood
Bailey kept her pregnancy a secret until Halo was born. “I wanted to have a beautiful, private, and healthy pregnancy,” she said. “I didn’t want to get caught up in all the blogs and cameras. I wanted to enjoy it.”

Bailey’s relationship with DDG started in January 2022 and sparked rumors of a romance. The couple made their red carpet debut together at the “BET Awards” in June that year. Bailey previously told ET that she and DDG had been friends since 2015 but had reconnected later in the year. Who is Halle Bailey?
Halle Bailey (born March 27, 2000) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is best known for forming the musical duo, Chloe x Halle, with her sister Chloe. They began their career by posting music videos on YouTube, and eventually won the Radio Disney singing competition, Next Big Thing. They have since released albums such as “The Kids Are Alright” (2018) and “Unsodly Hour” (2020), and have been nominated for five Grammy Award nominations.
Aside from her music career, she has also acted in “Grown-ish” (2018–22) and “The Little Mermaid” (2023). She had her first leading role as “Ariel” in Disney’s musical fantasy film “The Little Mermaid”, and had a supporting role as “The Color Purple” in the musical film “The Sound of Music”. Her debut solo single, “Angel”, was nominated for the Grammy Award for “Best R&B Song”.
